Teacher Wu Ningya is a "vigorous" artist who does not come from the academic art circle. In 2014, at the age of 51, he began his journey of artistic creation and quickly emerged from the circle in a personal, pure, and unadorned "amateur way". His content and form are different from those commonly seen in the art circle. It is this opposition and conflict that creates the appearance of "unfamiliarity", which can arouse the interest and surprise of viewers.

Artists unlock new territories

The expression of art is endless. This time, Teacher Wu Ningya came to one of the earliest institutions in China engaged in wax figure art creation, Zhongshan Elephant Oriental Wax Art Co., Ltd., and embarked on his journey of wax figure art exploration.

Mr. Wu Ningya's exploration journey began with the exhibition hall, where Professor Zhou Xuerong introduced the development process of Elephant East.

Elephant Oriental was founded by wax artist Ms. Zhou Xuerong in 1999. It is the first wax organization in China to receive authorization from numerous celebrities and celebrities, including Yuan Longping, Yang Liwei, Lang Lang, Zhang Jizhong, and nearly a hundred outstanding representatives from various fields in China and the world.

It owns the Chinese national brand Curtain Open Wax Museum and has opened wax museums with different themes in Guangzhou, Xiamen, Lijiang, Changsha, Dalian, Lhasa, Jinan, Malaysia and other places around the world.

After sharing the company's history, Teacher Zhou Xuerong accompanied Mr. Wu Ningya to visit the wax works. During the visit, Teacher Wu Ningya carefully appreciated each wax figure work, especially when he saw the DNA series of wax figures such as "Cold Army" and "In laws", he praised their realistic effects.

Teacher Wu Ningya, who was deeply attracted by wax figure art, humorously said, "Maybe I should also customize a wax figure for myself.

Subsequently, Teacher Zhou Xuerong led Teacher Wu Ningya and her delegation into the wax sculpture process. Teacher Wu Ningya observed the creative process of sculpture, from the initial formation of clay sculpture to the careful carving of details, every step reflects the rigor and craftsmanship of sculpture.

In the application of sculpture techniques and materials, two art masters, Wu Ningya and Zhou Xuerong, had a deep dialogue and exchange, sharing their creative experiences and insights in their respective fields.

Teacher Zhou Xuerong shared that the application of sculpture in wax art is more about restoring the "reality" of the original statue. Sculptors need to perform thousands of detailed depictions on the clay manuscript to ensure that every detail is lifelike.
